Synopsis: | Cosi an irreverent comedy about women's infidelity, contains some of the most beautiful music in the opera literature and was banned for its immorality in Mozart's time. Conductor Victoria Gauheading a chamber ensemble-and director Olcott lead a superb cast of Washington DC's finest young singers, all of whom perform frequently for and with the In Series: Philip Bender as Randy [Ferrando], Terry Eberhardt as Elmo [Guglielmo], Mary Gresock as Florrie [Fiodiligi], Bryan Jackson as Mr. Fonso [Don Alfonso], Tara McCredie as Dorrie [Dorabella], and Randa Rouweyha as Tina [Despina]. Olcott's adaptation, set in 1929 Hollywood, imagines the sisters as aspiring starlets, their fiances as a vaudeville duo, the conniving Fonso as a Hollywood producer's audition appointments person and Tina [Despina] as a somewhat jaded starlet who has her own reasons for befriending the sisters. | |||||
