Christian O'Reilly's one-act play, It Just Came Out, was presented by the Druid Theatre Company in Galway as part of its Debut series in 2001. The Good Father, his first full-length work, was directed by Druid's Artistic Director Garry Hynes for the 25th Gaiway Arts Festival in 2002 and toured throughout Ireland in 2003. The Good Father was joint winner of the 2002 Stewart Parker New Playwright Bursary. His two one-acters, Problem Solvers Anonymous and It Won't Be Great 14'lzen I'm hot Here, were staged by Tyger Theatre Company at the 2004 Dublin Fringe Theatre Festival and toured in 2005. He has written two plays for youth theatre, Treble for Abbey Outreach and Teacher which was staged by Galway Youth Theatre at the 2005 Galway Arts Festival. His second full-length play, The Avenue, was presented at StJohn's Theatre, Listowel, in 2005. His screen credits include Inside I'm Dancing, a feature film based on his original story. It won the Audience Award for Best Film at the Edinburgh Film Festival in 2004 and two Irish Film and Television Awards - Best Script and the AIB People's Choice Award for Best Irish Film.
