Synopsis: | An adaptation of F.Scott Fitzgerald's short story 'Oh What A Beautiful Pair': Beautiful society girl falls for errant musician but leaves him to marry a society beau and Yale hero. Hero loses his fortune on Wall St. and their lives slowly spiral into bitterness. Meanwhile the musician is beginning to make it big as a composer. They meet again and an affair ensues. The love triangle continues to the backdrop of the US joining World War 1. The hero joins up to regain his dignity, society girl follows as a nurse, whilst the musician slips back into obscurity having blown his big chance at Carnegie Hall. The hero dies, the musician meets up with a visibly changed society girl and the remnants of their love disappear as the world moves on into the roaring Jazz age. | |||||
