Notes:

Running time is about fifteen minutes. One setting.

Synopsis:

The Landon Family is just like any other . . . wonderfully weird and uniquely universal. Karsten waits anxiously for his prom date to arrive while reading about the economy. His mother warns him about drugs and hopes he has condoms; his father wants to bake cookies and sing show tunes; and his sister worries about the environment, even as she pauses, rewinds, and slows down the onstage action through the magic of her remote control. this Functional family is an highly comedic slice-of-life play dealing with family, gender roles, and audience expectations.

Notes:

Running time is about forty-five minutes. Minimal set.

Synopsis:

In this sci-fi drama, the Government of Dominion rules. Break the law and the Dominion will sentence you to a one-room cell with very little food and no way out. When Astrid, Elinor, Malik, and Nolan are released from their government-induced comas, they find themselves locked together in one of these units as punishment for their crimes. Each has a past they'd rather forget: Malik killed a prostitute who wouldn't cooperate; Astrid killed a child while defending her son; Nolan killed his wife in a delusional rage, and Elinor. . .well, no one knows what Elinor did because she refuses to speak. As the play unfolds, each character must grapple with the choices they've made and the consequences that follow, always aware that they're being watched. In here, everyone has their secrets. And as each individual story comes tumbling out, the prisoners realize they may have more in common then they first realized.
