Roger MacDougall was born on August 2nd 1910 in Bearsden, Dumbartonshire, Scotland. He was married to documentary film director Renee Dunlop. In 1955 he developed multiple sclerosis which crippled him for most of his life. He wrote numerous screenplays including "Midnight In The Wax Museum" (1936) and "The Mouse That Roared" (1959).
