Mara Lesemann attended Brown University, and received her BA in Media Studies and Film from the New School University. Her full-length play The Fertility Factor was produced off-off-Broadway in NYC in July 2005 by the Guild of Italian American Actors (www.giaa.us) under the direction of Carlo Fiorletta. Getting In was a semi-finalist in the Riant Theatre's Winter 2007 Strawberry One Act Play Festival; the screenplay version won An Abbreviated Screenplay Contest and is being produced by Silver Penny Productions. The romantic fantasy one act play A Temporary Cat premieres in the Crown Theater at the Producers Club in Manhattan in March 2009. The screenplay version was nominated for the Hollywood Scriptwriter 2008 Written Word Award at the Action on Film Festival in 2008. Mara lives in Jersey City, NJ with her husband and their four cats.
