Synopsis: | Fledgling playwright Tom arrives in New Orleans. When he gets to his lodgings he realises he has been robbed - but his landlady - a tart with a heart lets him stay anyway. Tom takes a job at a factory. A female co-worker cannot understand why Tom shows no interest in her. Tom is drawn to another co-worker Anthony.
