Missouri born, John Kuebler has worked seasonally all throughout the Western United States-as a lifty out in Tahoe, a launderer up in Denali, a jeep guide all over the San Juans, and a riverrat on el Rio de las Animas Perdidas. He also worked a one and a half day stint as a dishdog at the Grand Old Canyon. Those seasonal adventures are being chronicled in the forthcoming multigenre work, The Chicken Fried Steak Stories. He currently resides in Denver where he writes grants and media pieces for a local theater company and picks up contract work as often as he can stand it. John spends his free time fiddling around on the guitar and hanging out with his son.

Synopsis: | Stubbin Watts is the story of two young men about to embark on a westward journey but still stuck in the revolving inertia of their mundane lives. The play is postmodern in form, existential in nature, and absurdist in style. Jack is the anxious, loud, dreamer figure who believes this journey will be the impetus to cure their inherent ennui. Stubbin is the contemplative Buddha figure who longs for change but fears it may never come. | |||||
