In one corner stands the American incumbent, Robert Havel, leader of the new "Polkapalooza" generation, who wants to bring polka music into the 21st Century - electric guitar and all. His challenger, Zorin Vlasta, the Czech polka master who grew up playing the accordion and sleeping with sheep, yearns to return polka to its roots in his home country. The lines are drawn, late night cable access TV cameras are there, and the moderator is in over her head. The mother of all debates is about to begin. Who will be the next Polka Poobah? | |||||
