Literary Agent:  n/a

Dylan Jackson was born and raised in Little Rock, Arkansas. Since a young age he has been involved in some manner of performance or production. Before graduating from Parkview Arts Magnet and the Arkansas Governor's School he was very active in as many local theatre, music, and literary communities as he could find. In Little Rock he worked with nearly all of the producing groups in town, and was fortunate to find a three year haven in the employ of the Arkansas Reparatory Theatre. After leaving Arkansas, he attended Chicago's Columbia College. Despite participation in school shows, he found a more heavy interest in the spontaneity of the Second City's improvisers. By studying with the Second City and participating with such local groups as Comedy Sports, he found a new community to inspire his performance and his personal writings. The following year he left Chicago to attend the Stella Adler Conservatory in New York. There, under the instruction of many gifted and enlightened artists, his passion for all living forms expression was irreplaceably heightened. With a new view of theatre he continued to act in several films and stage productions, but was all the while honing his craft as a writer. In the spring of 2005 he was contacted about a script he had written, and referred to the tutelage of a prominent dramatist and educator. Their close private study continued until the winter of 2006 when his one-act play Late was showcased by the Riant Theatre in New York City. In of Spring 2007 he began teaching an after school playwriting class in Manhattan and is on the board of a new small corporation devoted to the promotion of literacy. Since then he has completed a number of plays, ranging in theme and content, which focus largely on humanity in conflict. Dylan currently resides in Brooklyn.
