| Synopsis: | Nation humorously describes the true events surrounding the conscription of Surrealist Artist Jean (Hans) Arp into the German Army in WW1, and his increasingly desperate attempts to escape this injustice by feigning madness. In a dialogue between Arp and a German Army Officer, issues of Patriotism, Conflict and Insanity arise. Arp was from Alsace, then a disputed territory claimed by Germany and France, and in truth, didn't really want to fight for anyone. | |||||
