He started the Frinton Summer Theatre (still running - see Wikipedia) before the Second World War. Many actors and actresses, including Vanessa Redgrave, played at Frinton early in their careers. Peter was married to April and had two children, Stephen and Bridget (?). His brother Sam was a don at Downing College Cambridge. Sam and his wife Joan took over the theatre from Peter (I think in the late '50s).
