Dan's writing credits include Mother's Ruin which was a highly commended finalist in TheatreFest's Young Playwright Of The Year competition and he has recently adapted it into a television play. As an actor Dan has appeared many times at Birmingham Rep, including as Tootles in Jonathan Church's Peter Pan. In 2008 he starred in the BBC 7 radio drama, Project Raphael, directed by Jenny Stephens and has previously performed in a number of episodes of BBC's Silver Street. On TV Dan has appeared in Jonathan Creek, Crimewatch and as Ian Prentice on BBC's Doctors.

Synopsis:

Things are not going well for Bob Enwright. His building company has just gone bump, he's careering towards 50 at an alarming rate and his wife has traded him in for a younger man. The offer of work in the local school dinner hall seems like light at the end of a particularly dark and miserable tunnel. However his appearance amongst the all female workforce causes a major catastrophe for harassed catering manager and single mother Enid  one which threatens to bring the school to its knees and force Bob back to the employment line.
