Jim Grover's plays have been seen in theatres in London, Edinburgh, Newcastle and North Wales. In addition to theatre performances his works have been re-played in schools, universities and community arts spaces for educational purposes and in aid of charitable causes. Royal Academy of Arts commissioned performances of Provenance Helpline during their major Rembrandt's Women exhibition at Burlington House and the writer was seen in an extended prime-time television appearance concerning historical characters from Glass Hero. Originally trained as a musician, he has acted (how else can you understand how to write for actors?) directed (how else can you know how directors work?) and is also an occasional if reluctant stage producer. A keen exponent of the web, he has written satirical news poetry, created idiosyncratic virtual galleries and libraries and also developed and pioneered write-on-line, a live exposure of the developmental process of the playwright's craft. His weekly Internet audiences have occasionally exceeded 50,000 people.
