Bettina is currently on attachment to the National Theatre. Bettina's writing connects her more firmly with her Indian background (her father is from Goa) than with her European side (her mother was Austrian and her childhood spent in London). Her play SINGH TANGOS, was produced by Kali Theatre Company and toured the country from April 2002 with a three week run at the Riverside Studios. She has written four radio plays for the BBC (SINGH TANGOS, GOAN FLAME, JALLEBIES AND TEA and FROM BANGALORE WITH LOVE) and is currently developing a sitcom, GOAN CONCERN, for Radio 4. She is also writing a feature film under the guidance of the National Film School as well as a new play, OTHER.
