Notes:

This play is specifically written for seniors. The ages range from 55 - 80 something. I suppose God could be young. . .even a teenager. There are four possible endings to this play. You choose who wins, or you can let God decide. There is also a fourth ending where they all call BINGO simultaneously. That's fun. There are also bingo card diagrams included with the script

Synopsis:

Manny married Edna. She died. So he married Celia. She died. Then, only eight weeks later (enough time for the insurance to come through), he married the young and tarty Skeeter, aged 55, and she died too&.just after him. If he had listened to Skeeter, he wouldn't have crashed his Porsche Boxter S right into a pig truck. Those insurance policies were your best idea ever, Celia! Together again in Heaven with all his ex's&who does Manny get to spend eternity with? God, dressed a little gauche, what can I say, she likes glittery things&but always with sensible shoes, leaves the decision to a heavenly game of Bingo. This is a fun and light-hearted look at life, death and the possibility of eternity without sex. When reunited in the Kingdom of God, which wife gets the man?

Synopsis:

The French Romantics finally meet the English Romantics. The child-like poet P.B. Shelley, is the first to arrive, still dripping wet from his little boat mishap, followed by the mad, bad and dangerous to know Lord Byron. Self proclaimed victim, Mary Shelley and neurotic Clair Clairmont, Byron's ex-lover, complete the English ensemble. Enter fastidious Frederic Chopin, eloquent George Sand, malicious Marie d'Agoult (Liszt's ex-mistress), an entirely amused Eugène Delecroix, an arrogant Alfred de Musset looking to settle a score with George, and perhaps score with her&again. Last to die a very aged, soon to be inebriated Franz Liszt. I'd get drunk too, if everyone but me regained their youth in death. These artists have one thing in common; aside from their obvious neurosis&they are all completely, emphatically, shuffled off the mortal coil - dead. This Purgatory they have arrived in, is nothing like Dante's vision, but more resembles a nineteenth century salon, hosted incredibly by a Mercurial, manic and devious Mozart. Augment this melange with a peculiar masked man who enjoys creating chaos and puts a kink in more philosophies than Byron's, several fragile egos, raging hormones, copious amounts of wine and plenty of rapier wit, and you have it.

We know the stories of Michael Collins. We know the story of the proclamation. The women's stories are sadly missing from much of the history. This is Maeve's story, celebrating the strength of the women who participated in this rich history, side by side with the men, and the women who stayed at home, tending the farm, always fearing the worst. A tender, funny, lyrical, heart-wrenching play that is simply about people.

Next arrives nearly perfect Aja (according to Susan), witty, trendy and popular and Susan, Aja's friend who is fighting the feminist fight on the wrong battlefield with no ammunition; long-time friends - but for how long? Complete the ensemble with Nicole, the voice of reason, and not a red plaid jacket-wearing lesbian, either. Throughout the night they discover things about each other, some intriguing revelations; others scandalous betrayals. The night is spent wrestling with an array of topics from sexual abuse and mothers to tampons, orgasms and their most embarrassing moments. While it is a comedy, this character-driven play is not without its poignant moments of truth and emotional discoveries.
