Synopsis: | Time Traveler is the false story of a woman whose reality is fractured by sudden awareness of an event that never happened. It is the true story of a loving grandfather who lived and, in living, changed the world in a small but vital way. It is also the story of a time traveler from an apocalyptic future, two murderers (one false, one true), and, of course, toast. In short, it is a tale that begins well, ends tragically, and in between gets away from all of us just a little. What the Time Traveler Will Tell Us is, among other things, a live demonstration of time travel as writers and performers Jeffrey Cranor and Joseph Fink attempt to move their audience safely through unimaginable possible. Originally a short play in the New York Neo-Futurists' long-running Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind, Time Traveler grew into a full evening of personal monologue, science fiction, humor, gravity, live music, back massage, and how-to instructional. | |||||
