SIMON FILL was originally a member of the Playwrights Project, a small group of playwrights nurtured by Circle Repertory Theatre and headed by Austin Pendleton. Simon's one-act play Night Visits was produced by Actors Theatre of Louisville. The play won the Heideman Award from Actors Theatre of Louisville and was published in Dramatics magazine and by Vintage Books (in the anthology Take Ten II). His full-length play Naked Under Your Clothes was written during a playwriting residency at the Yaddo Colony. Simon's plays are included in the Best Stage Scenes and Best Stage Monologues series, as well as in The Perfect Audition Monologue, all published by Smith and Kraus. His one-act The Room Inside The Room I'm In was produced by HERE in association with Lincoln Center Theatre. His plays have been produced in New York City, regionally, and internationally. He was an A.S.K. Exchange Playwright with the Royal Court Theatre. Synopsis: | John and Ron form part of a vibrant and humorously self-deprecating intellectual "scene." They are best friends. John meets and falls in love with Tia, a nurse, and together they take in Elise, a parentless teenager with cancer, as their daughter. Soon the four create a family, which in a concentrated period of time renews them forever. This warm play explores the foundation of family: decency, love, compassion. Funny and gripping, Naked Under Your Clothes ends in a miracle that leaves the audience breathless.

Synopsis: | Jenny, a successful book editor, must cope with the comedy and drama of being forced to live with two ex-boyfriends, two men she loved, in the apartment of one she hasn't seen in six years. As the play unfolds, each character reveals a secret that changes the lives of the others forever. Post Punk Life exposes a generation-its loves, joys, sorrows, duties, heroism-never failing to emphasize its humor.
