Edward Duke was born on June 17th 1953. He went to Stoneyhurst College - until he was expelled. His father, a diplomat, was posted to Japan and Edward discover Kabuki Theatre whilst he was there. He later trained at Arts Educational School in London. He appeared on stage in "Why Not Stay For Breakfast" and in the 1991 revival of "Private Lives" with Joan Collins. He was in the film version of "The French Lieutenant's Woman". He put on a private showing of his play "Jeeves Takes Charge" for the Queen and Queen Mother. He died of an AIDS related illness on January 8th 1994
