Synopsis: | Ida--loud, profane, ignorant, tasteless--has, nevertheless, devoted her life to caring for her beautiful daughter, Luise. Luise is not quite one hundred percent and she has an illegitimate daughter, Christie. The family has no money and no prospects, so Ida must sell her movie memorabilia to pay for miracle shots that did nothing for Luise. Peter, her weak, charming husband, took a walk years ago but still visits. Mr. Arkadian, the shy antique collector from the Yellow Pages is unprepared for the turbulent atmosphere he finds himself in.
