Originally from Carnew, Co. Wicklow, Loughlin graduated from Dublin City University in 1992 with a degree in Business Studies. His stage play THE STOMPING GROUND was produced by Red Kettle Theatre Company and was a finalist in the National Association of Youth Drama's 'STAGE IT' playwriting scheme. It had previously toured a number of theatres in Ireland. Loughlin was commissioned to write a one-act play by Macra na Feirme, ONE MAN DOWN. Loughlin has also worked in an administrative capacity for the Yew Theatre Company and Druid and for the Belltable Arts Centre as Press and Publicity Officer. He is currently under commission to Red Kettle Theatre in Ireland.
