Synopsis: | Mary Trilogy explores stories from various Greek tragedies in three contemporary American parts. A mother kills her children, a girl with a hatchet fights while another dies, and somewhere out there a monster waits. Containing three parts "La Madia Cycle," "Like Meat Love Salt," and "Monster" is a performance triptych, which reinvents both classic myth and folktale stories of Mary. Traveling through varied yet isolated landscapes, the plays shift between the suburban sweet home south, the rural mountains of Appalachia and finally the urban underground to discover Mary as witness, victim and avenger and sole survivor | |||||
