Synopsis:

1930s Manhattan. Eight year old Curley McDimple arrives at Sarah's Theatrical Boarding House. She hopes to find someone there to adopt her. The landlord is about to foreclose so the guests decide to put on a show to raise the money needed. But during rehearsals Curley is snatched by the social worker and thrown into an orphanage.
