Shari Ajemian Craig and Sarah R. Newcomb have been writing songs and musical comedies together for decades, irrespective of popular demand. Performers as well, they have made several recordings with Jean Redpath, Lisa Neustadt, and the Angel Band; Shari was also a longtime member of the traditional music group Common Ground, and Sarah toured with the legendary Folksmiths. Their songs hav been recorded by various singers, including Pete Seeger, published by Simon and Schuster and World Around Songs, and sung on national TV and radio programs. They are the authors of Partially Sage: A Comic Look at Common Songs, which is a compilation of their parodies of well-known songs or song types. They enjoy taking historical subjects or works of fiction and looking at them in a new and perhaps glaring light. Currently, they are much of the way through an art cabaret project, Songs Off The Walls, consisting of songs based on well known works of art.
