Synopsis: | Three generations collaborate on The A-Train, a theatrical journey into the creative process as an older jazz horn player struggles to "get it back." After losing three fingers on his right hand in an industrial accident, Nick Corozine came back to play saxophone and clarinet professionally. Fueled by the power-driven, rhythmic tunes of musicians before him and the encouragement of his jazz angel Sonny, Nick Corozine charts his course through the songs of Duke Ellington and Billy Strayhorn in this biographically-based production. The play is written by Nick's son Richard Corozine; directed by his grandson, Matthew Corozine; with music by another son, Vince Corozine. | |||||
