Synopsis: | Johnny Dobbin is a smug and troubled 13 year old boy who dreams of being ten years older so he can become a super hero and save the world. From watching a raucous ad on television, Johnny gets drawn to Barfinkle's Laboratory who are currently offering their customers an age alteration process, up or down. But in fear of Johnny's tough talking gangster father, brilliant but mad Barfinkle blasts Johnny and his age-altered girlfriend, Crystal Coo, off into outer space where they land on Sha Mup Sha Mup - the planet of old songs. In this barren and cosmologically doomed world, Johnny and Crystal are given a timely warning about how planet Earth's fate seems set to go the same way.

Synopsis: | In the desolate outback of Australia, things have been tough for Joe Newell at the run down Victory Hotel. His father and its popular publican, Mervyn, passed away recently. Then to make things worse, a new freeway recently bypassed the place, taking with it most of the walk in and/or drive through trade. Young Joe, his still grieving old Mum and what is left of their rather dysfunctional regulars, must come up with a way of saving this tiny community's only watering hole. All they need is a miracle really, with one arriving in the unlikely shape of a suicidal, alcoholic university professor on his way out to never-never land to blow his brains out in peace.
