Synopsis:

a gender-bending, musical retelling of a classic tale. We find Dorothy, a somewhat "special" girl who talks to a stuffed dog named Toto, swept from her urban apartment on Kansas Street and carried off into a drag wonderland. There she meets a mentally challenged doorperson, an emotionally inept fashionista, and a terrified lounge singer who all accompany her to visit the Emerald City Club and meet the famous talent agent Wizar. However, her journey is continually thwarted by the nasty Ruby Gulch, who simply wants her fabulous ruby slippers back. Accompanied by an original score, THE RUBY SLIPPERS is a hilariously gay romp around town.
