Synopsis: | The Cage is set in the Sex Offenders` Unit of a prison. It tells the stories of four inmates and the two prison wardens who are responsible for them. Through the role-playing which is part of the Home Office approved Sex Offender Treatment Programme, we meet the victims and families of the men, and understand something of the effect these offences have had on their lives. We also, follow throughout the play, the news reports of a series of child sex-murders. The play asks the question: 'What happens when you convince a man he is evil?' | |||||
