Clare Bayley developed her version of The Enchantment while on attachment at the National Theatre Studio. Her other plays include The Container, which premiered at the 2007 Edinburgh Festival; The Woman Who Swallowed a Pin (Southwark Playhouse); The Shift and Blavatsky (both Young Vic Studio); and Northern Lights (also produced on radio). For radio her work includes The Bringer of Sweets (BBC/CBL). She was awarded the Sunday Times Screenwnting award for the screenplay Corridors in the Air. Her publications include Guatemala Moon (Serpent's Tail) and The Container (Nick Hem Books).
