Abi Basch's plays include Voices Underwater, fEaR oF a FuHrEr, Lucy Dies in Fives, and Preservation (A Bird Mutation). She's received two Jerome Fellowships from the Playwrights' Center in Minneapolis, three Austin Critics Table Award nominations including for Best New Play, Best of Fest in Fronterafest, a Fulbright Scholarship to research physical collaborative theater methods in Germany, and an Alexander von Humboldt German Chancellor Scholarship to write and direct a performance installation with principal dancers from the Hamburg and Dresden Ballets at a Hamburg war memorial. She's a member of German-American collaboratively-based physical theater company kInDeRdEuTsCh pRoJeKtS, and of Austin Scriptworks.
