Synopsis: | Starting on a train platform the audience is introduced to several characters waiting for a train to Canterbury. The characters disappear to re-emerge as various characters, when there is an announcement that the train is to be delayed. They then proceed to act out modern day telling of six of Chaucer's, 'Canterbury Tales'. The play works it's way through several social and political issues, from religion to advertising, the Irish issue to U.S.A. dominance. There is a fine twist at the end. | |||||
