Sam's a Queensland writer living in Sydney. Bondi Dreaming' is Sam's first full-length play and last year his second one, The Chekhov Term' was lucky enough to receive a production at Sydney's New Theatre and he is hoping to remount it later this year. Sam is now adapting his play Bill' into a short film also to be made this year. His play Waiting for Gotterson' has been performed a number times in Sydney and he also wrote and directed a short film, Dog Without a Bone'. As well as working on a film version of Bondi Dreaming', Sam is also writing and directing television for Home and Away' and preparing to direct Three Sisters' at the Queensland University of Technology. Sam comes to writing from an acting and directing background and loves the whole process of uncovering Australian stories and characters to explore.
