Nissim Aloni was born in Tel Aviv on August 24th 1926.Aloni enlisted in the Notarot a Jewish Militia and fought in the Israeli-Arab War in 1948 He started as a short story writer and had lots of critical acclaim. In 1953 he had his first play produced "Cruellest of All the King" (Achzar Michol Hamelech). He died on June 13th 1998
