Synopsis:

Elysian Fields tells the story of those left behind in a war-torn nation. It explores the means to survive and the hope love offers. . . TYRA: Do you think the sun's trying to burn us all up? Instead of a deluge there'll be a fire that ravages the earth like a haystack. The slightest spark will send last years' straw up like a torch. MIRIAM: Perhaps you should wait inside, it's cooler in the shade. If you want to lay down. TYRA: Isn't that all we ever do? Wait for the ones who'll never come back? If we didn't wait we'd be worth nothing. Like seeds in the ground waiting for rain
