Julia Ainsworth completed her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre at York University studying acting, directing and playwrighting in the unique Creative Ensemble Program. In addition to a BFA, Julia holds a specialized "Artist in the Community" Bachelor of Education Teachers degree from Queens University. Julia is the founder and executive director of Zeitgeist Theatre - a collective that aspires to create theatre that carries currency within the context of the now, provokes intellectual, emotional and visceral responses and inspires dialogue and forward thinking surrounding contemporary issues.
